Route designed by local operators
What this journey is really like
The shortest version we recommend for air arrivals, retaining two nights in Leh before the high circuit. This is a planning framework, not a rigid bus-tour schedule. The day order can move when weather, road controls, flight times or accommodation availability make another sequence safer and more enjoyable.
- Two-day acclimatization
- Compact classic circuit
- Private vehicle
- Permit assistance
- Camp or cottage choice
- Local road-status checks

The line shows the planning sequence, not a turn-by-turn navigation map. Final road choice follows official opening, checkpoint and local transport rules.
Detailed day-by-day itinerary
Start times remain flexible until travel dates and hotel locations are confirmed. We deliberately state long days and local-vehicle handovers instead of hiding them in the fine print.
Day 1: Arrive and rest in Leh
Transfer to the hotel and take complete rest after flying to 3,500 metres.
Day 2: Gentle Leh day
Continue acclimatization with only nearby, low-effort sights if symptom-free.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra
Cross the pass toward Diskit and Hunder, with pass time kept brief.
Day 4: Nubra to Pangong
Travel via the Shyok alignment when open. Settle into a selected stay rather than attempting late-evening lakeside movement.
Day 5: Pangong to Leh
Return via Chang La and reach Leh for a warm, comfortable final night.
Day 6: Departure
Airport transfer.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Leh, Nubra & Pangong · 6 Days itinerary be customised?
Yes. Nights, route, hotel category, meal plan and pickup point can be changed. We confirm whether a requested change is sensible for the season and driving time before quoting.
Are flights and activity tickets included?
Flights are not included. Gondola, pony, skiing, monument and other activity tickets are included only when the final written quote names them.
What happens if a road or pass closes?
Mountain routes can change with weather, maintenance or security orders. We first adjust the sequence or use a safe alternative; any material cost change is discussed before it is incurred.
Is this a fixed-departure group tour?
No. The standard version is a private trip for your party with a dedicated vehicle. Group departures are offered only when clearly stated.
How is the final price calculated?
The final price reflects travel dates, hotel category, number and age of travelers, vehicle type, meal plan, permits and separately regulated local services.
